Join us for a special ambient music performance by Tom Eisenbraun.

About the Artist

Tom Eisenbraun takes on the origin of harmony in his new audio-visual project, Eisenbraun Electric Company. Outfitted with electric guitars and electromagnetic string sustainers, Eisenbraun and collaborator Alex Robinson feed their sustained notes into an oscilloscope to reveal the underlying relationships between the signals. Equal parts sound bath and world’s fair exhibition, the performance will work through a series of constructions and deconstructions of harmonies, wrestling against and reckoning with the compromises made over centuries of advancements in Western tuning systems to find the subtler natural relationships that drove Pythagoras to invent the field of study in the sixth century BCE.

The evening will close with a showcase of the soon-to-be-released Light is Sound Made Visible. You can find Eisenbraun on his websiteInstagramBandcamp, and Soundcloud
